This week we received another welcomed visit from Sally the Community Liaison Officer for Tesco with a donation of fresh fruit for our children, families and staff. This time she had some help from Robert, who is a resident at Sunny Croft Residential Home.

After seeing our social media post from Sally’s last visit to the Centre, the staff at Sunny Croft and Robert thought it would be a good idea for Robert to start his voluntary work again so they got in touch with the team at Tesco.

We thought this would be a great opportunity for Robert to help and support as some of these charities have been an important aspect in Robert’s life previously. We also thought it was important that Robert would not just be doing something purposeful but also enjoyable and considered Robert’s known likes as we established Robert enjoys being out in his car so again this would be a perfect opportunity.

After a busy day delivering food donations we were pleased to hear that Robert enjoyed his day volunteering,

Robert really appeared to enjoy the day laughing and smiling with lots of happy facial expressions throughout.

It was a pleasure to meet Robert and his carer Gemma and we can’t wait to see them again soon.
