Jason Bird

Upon leaving the Royal Navy I wanted to be a teacher so I volunteered at a school and started training leading to a Foundation Degree.

My son is a Peter Pan graduate. My lived experience with him and his needs made me realise that there is a massive shortage of men in early years settings. When Jayden moved on to school, I started volunteering at Peter Pan, which then led me to the role I have now.

It is so rewarding to see the difference the help and support we provide makes to the children and their families. All the staff here are lovely and supportive, helping to make Peter Pan a truly magical place.
