It’s time for another massive, massive thank you for one of our families – this time, the Owens, and some of their friends, who really ‘peaked’ when it came to raising more than £4,000 for us!
They took on the Welsh Three Peaks challenge, that’s climbing Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan – a total of 17 miles, climbing 1,500 metres, in less than 24 hours!
We could tell you about their reasons for doing this – but the Owens put it so well themselves on their Just Giving page!
How inspiring is this?!
There’s no sob story here, just a plea for help!
We are the proud parents of a beautiful young boy who has special needs. We are not bitter, sad, feel hard done by and wouldn’t change him, or the way he is for the world.
If you know Jude, you know why!
We actually see Jude, and the person that he is, as a blessing that most parents will never experience. Every milestone we normally take for granted (as we have with our other children) is met with sheer delight and amazement, as you never know if it will ever come.
Jude is amazing. He dishes out life lessons to everyone he meets on a daily basis. He is kind, happy, and the most determined little boy you will ever meet.
For the last three years, Jude has been supported by Peter Pan. They are an amazing charity that have helped mould Jude into the little boy he is today!
Jude left us in September to go to school, and we wish him and his family the very best of luck as he continues his exciting journey. But we know we haven’t seen the last of the Owen family – especially as they have agreed to take on even more fund-raising events on our behalf!
Thanks again for your wonderful support – your fund-raising has been so selfless, with Jude leaving us, but knowing this money would help another child like Jude to thrive in our centre.
We can’t wait to bring news of what you get up to next!
It is so appreciated by each and everyone of us – thank you!
